Microchip Technology Incorporated announced the expansion of its post-quantum cryptography (PQC) portfolio with new root of trust and secure boot controllers designed for next-generation systems.
The newly introduced TS1800 and TS50x devices enable hardware-based PQC capabilities, supporting secure boot, firmware validation, and system integrity using advanced cryptographic algorithms aligned with emerging global security standards. The TS1800 controller delivers enhanced performance for data center and infrastructure applications, while the TS50x provides a more streamlined solution for systems requiring secure boot verification.
Microchip said the products aim to help organizations prepare for evolving cybersecurity requirements and transition toward quantum-resistant encryption technologies.
