Petrobras announced it has signed a new shareholders’ agreement with an investment fund to establish joint control of Braskem, while maintaining its existing ownership stake.
The agreement introduces shared governance, requiring consensus on key decisions and equal representation on both the board of directors and executive board. Petrobras confirmed it will retain a 36.1% stake in total capital, corresponding to 47% of voting shares.
The new structure is expected to take effect following the completion of a related share transfer and includes plans to update Braskem’s bylaws in line with the revised governance framework.
