MAS, a subsidiary of L3Harris, and Lockheed Martin have announced a partnership to establish an F-35 aircraft sustainment depot in Quebec, strengthening Canada’s domestic defense capabilities. The facility will support maintenance and long-term upkeep of the country’s F-35 fleet, enabling greater in-country control over operations.
The collaboration includes the creation of a joint steering committee to define depot operations, workforce training, and sustainment strategies. The project is also expected to generate high-skilled aerospace jobs and support a broader industrial network of Canadian suppliers.
The depot will contribute to servicing a global fleet of over 1,300 F-35 aircraft, reinforcing supply chain capabilities and operational readiness.
Both companies said the initiative will enhance fleet performance, strengthen national defense infrastructure, and deliver economic benefits through local industry participation.
