Lockheed Martin has been awarded a U.S. government contract to integrate its PAC-3 MSE missile into the Navy’s Aegis Combat System for the first time, marking a significant step in enhancing naval air and missile defense capabilities.

The PAC-3 MSE interceptor, already combat-proven and widely used by the U.S. Army and allied nations, will now be deployed on U.S. Navy warships, strengthening integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) operations.

The contract also supports ongoing efforts to accelerate production, with Lockheed Martin expected to deliver a record number of interceptors in 2026.

The integration is aimed at improving the Navy’s defensive capabilities and reinforcing broader U.S. and allied missile defense systems.
