L3Harris Technologies has been selected by the U.S. Army to supply its next-generation night-vision system under the Binocular Night Observation Device (BiNOD) program, with a contract valued at up to $465 million over seven years.
The company will deliver its NOVA™ night-vision goggles, a helmet-mounted binocular system designed to provide enhanced situational awareness in low-light and all-weather conditions. The system incorporates advanced image intensifier technology to improve clarity, range, and reliability for military operations.
L3Harris plans to move quickly into production to equip soldiers with the new capability, which is expected to support operational needs for more than two decades.
The award builds on the company’s existing role in U.S. military night-vision programs, including previous deliveries of over 20,000 enhanced night-vision systems.
