Amazon Web Services has expanded its collaboration with Siemens Energy to accelerate digital transformation across the energy sector.
Under the agreement, AWS will serve as a strategic cloud provider, delivering AI, machine learning, and industrial data solutions to enhance Siemens Energy’s operations. The partnership will leverage tools such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and IoT SiteWise to improve smart manufacturing, supply chain efficiency, and autonomous plant operations.
The companies will also jointly explore energy infrastructure solutions to support Amazon’s growing global data center footprint, including substation development, power generation, microgrids, and sustainable backup systems.
The collaboration builds on existing projects, including Siemens Energy’s IoT Connected Factory platform on AWS, and aims to advance more efficient, reliable, and sustainable energy systems amid rising data center demand.
