Siemens AG announced the expansion of its private 5G infrastructure to the United States and seven additional countries, extending its industrial connectivity footprint to a total of 15 markets across Europe and the Americas.
The rollout includes new radio units supporting both the 3.8–4.2 GHz spectrum and the U.S.-specific CBRS band, enabling manufacturers to deploy fully private, on-premises 5G networks without relying on telecom operators.
Siemens also introduced enhanced 5G routers with edge runtime capabilities, allowing applications to run directly on devices for real-time, AI-ready data processing on factory floors. The solution is designed to address growing connectivity demands in industrial environments, where traditional Wi-Fi networks face limitations.
The company highlighted that its private 5G system supports key industrial protocols and integrates into its broader Siemens Xcelerator platform, offering secure, scalable, and interference-free connectivity for sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and heavy industry.
The U.S. launch is expected in summer 2026, as Siemens continues to position industrial 5G as a core enabler of AI-driven manufacturing and digital transformation.
