L3Harris Technologies announced it will supply advanced sensor systems for a new uncrewed aircraft program supporting the Royal Canadian Navy.
The company will provide WESCAM CMX-8 electro-optical/infrared sensors to MDA Space Ltd. for integration into uncrewed aircraft systems under the ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance) program.
The systems are designed to enhance long-range surveillance, threat detection, and targeting capabilities, significantly improving maritime situational awareness for Canada’s Halifax-class ships.
