The company was the only manufacturer to exceed the DOE’s optional heating capacity and efficiency requirements for cold climate performance in one of its units. The advanced systems are designed to reduce energy costs by up to 50% compared to conventional rooftop units.
Trane will now move into the next phase of the program, conducting real-world field trials in Illinois and Wisconsin to validate performance and reliability.
