GSK announced that its investigational antibody-drug conjugate, risvutatug rezetecan, has received Orphan Drug Designation in Japan for the treatment of small-cell lung cancer.

The designation is supported by early clinical data showing durable responses in patients with extensive-stage disease, a condition with limited treatment options and poor prognosis.

The milestone marks the sixth global regulatory designation for the therapy, reinforcing its potential across multiple solid tumor indications and supporting its ongoing clinical development.
