GE HealthCare announced the completion of its $2.3 billion acquisition of Intelerad, a medical imaging software provider, strengthening its shift toward cloud-based and AI-enabled enterprise imaging solutions.

The acquisition expands GE HealthCare’s presence beyond hospitals into ambulatory and specialized care settings, enabling a more comprehensive, end-to-end imaging ecosystem. Intelerad’s cloud-native technology is expected to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce infrastructure costs, and support faster deployment of imaging solutions.

Financially, Intelerad is expected to generate around $270 million in annual revenue with a high share of recurring income and EBITDA margins above 30%. The deal is anticipated to support long-term growth and profitability, although it may be slightly dilutive to earnings per share in the short term due to financing costs.
