BCE Inc. unit Bell partners with Hypertec to advance sovereign AI infrastructure

Bell and Hypertec announced a strategic partnership to deliver end-to-end sovereign AI capabilities built, hosted and operated in Canada. The collaboration combines Hypertec’s Canadian-built GPU infrastructure, including NVIDIA-based AI systems manufactured through its domestic supply chain, with Bell AI Fabric, a national platform providing Canadian-hosted AI compute and data centre services.

The companies said the partnership is designed to offer secure, scalable AI compute capacity for public sector, enterprise and research customers while ensuring data residency and governance remain under Canadian jurisdiction. Target sectors include defence, healthcare, financial services, critical infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.

Bell and Hypertec aim to strengthen Canada’s domestic AI supply chain and technological sovereignty as organizations seek high-performance infrastructure that balances security, performance and data control.
