Becton, Dickinson and Company (NYSE: BDX) announced the launch of the BD Vacutainer® Urine Complete Cup Kit, a three-tube urine collection system designed to preserve specimen quality and expand testing capabilities from a single sample.

The kit includes a sterile cup with integrated transfer device, culture and sensitivity tube, urinalysis tube, discard tube and castile wipe. The added third tube allows broader testing without manual transfers or repeat collections, helping reduce contamination risk and improve workflow efficiency.

BD said the system aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy, support automated lab workflows and reduce inappropriate treatments linked to contaminated urine cultures.
