Honeywell announced an amended agreement to acquire Johnson Matthey’s Catalyst Technologies business for £1.325 billion, reduced from the previously agreed £1.8 billion. The long stop date has been extended to July 21, 2026, with a possible further extension to August 21, 2026, subject to conditions.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Honeywell’s Process Technologies segment, expand its refining and renewable fuels catalyst portfolio, and create synergies across process automation and aftermarket services. The deal is anticipated to close by the end of August 2026, pending regulatory approvals, and is expected to be accretive to adjusted EPS in the first full year of ownership.
