Caterpillar acquires RPMGlobal to expand mining technology portfolio
Caterpillar Inc. has completed the acquisition of RPMGlobal Holdings Limited, strengthening its portfolio of data-driven mining technology and software solutions.
Based in Brisbane, RPMGlobal provides mining software across the value chain, supporting planning, operations and site management through advanced analytics and domain expertise. Caterpillar first announced its agreement to acquire the company in October 2025.
Caterpillar said the deal enhances its strategy to integrate equipment, digital technologies and software to help customers improve mine site performance and operational efficiency. RPMGlobal will continue operating under its existing brand.
The acquisition supports Caterpillar’s Resource Industries segment and its broader focus on scalable, practical mining technology solutions.
