Republic Services posts higher Q4 earnings, sets 2026 growth targets

Republic Services, Inc. reported fourth-quarter 2025 net income of $545 million, or $1.76 per diluted share, up from $512 million, or $1.63 per share, a year earlier. Adjusted EPS rose 11.4% year-over-year to $1.76, while adjusted EBITDA increased to $1.30 billion, with margin expanding 30 basis points to 31.3%.

For full-year 2025, net income reached $2.14 billion, or $6.85 per share, compared with $2.04 billion, or $6.49 per share, in 2024. Adjusted EPS climbed 8.7% to $7.02, and adjusted EBITDA rose to $5.31 billion, with margin improving 90 basis points to 32.0%. The company generated $4.30 billion in operating cash flow and $2.43 billion in adjusted free cash flow, exceeding its guidance.

Revenue grew 3.5% for the year, driven by pricing gains and acquisitions, partially offset by lower volumes and softer environmental solutions activity. Republic invested $1.1 billion in acquisitions and returned $1.6 billion to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases in 2025.

For 2026, the company expects revenue of $17.05 billion to $17.15 billion, adjusted EBITDA of $5.48 billion to $5.53 billion, adjusted EPS of $7.20 to $7.28, and adjusted free cash flow of $2.52 billion to $2.56 billion. Republic also plans to invest about $1 billion in acquisitions during the year.

The board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.625 per share, payable April 15, 2026.
