Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV) has launched INDX, a real-time cash settlement platform designed to enable digital asset companies to securely store and transfer U.S. dollars 24x7x365.

INDX allows digital asset firms to operate through a single custodial account, with balances eligible for up to $25 million in FDIC insurance via pass-through coverage, subject to conditions. Rather than routing funds outside the traditional banking system or moving assets on-chain, INDX distributes deposits across the Fiserv Deposit Network, which includes more than 1,100 insured U.S.-based financial institutions. This structure keeps funds off-chain while delivering real-time settlement in fiat USD.

The platform is designed for institutional traders and offers millisecond transfers, final and instantly available USD settlement, and programmable API-based controls. Custodial services are provided through an affiliated U.S.-based trust company.

Fiserv stated that the launch supports its strategy following the December 2025 acquisition of StoneCastle, expanding its insured-deposit funding and digital asset infrastructure capabilities. For community banks and credit unions within the Fiserv Deposit Network, INDX is expected to generate diversified, stable deposit inflows.

The company positions INDX as a scalable, banking-integrated alternative to traditional crypto settlement models, aimed at enhancing speed, security, and operational flexibility for institutional digital asset participants.
