Snowflake and OpenAI announced a multi-year, $200 million partnership to bring enterprise-ready AI capabilities directly to Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud. Under the agreement, OpenAI’s advanced models will be natively available within Snowflake Cortex AI, enabling more than 12,600 global customers to build secure, context-aware AI applications and agents using their proprietary data.

The collaboration includes joint product development and go-to-market efforts aimed at accelerating agentic AI adoption across large enterprises. Companies such as Canva and WHOOP are expected to leverage OpenAI models within Snowflake to enhance decision-making, analytics, and workflow automation while maintaining strict governance and security standards.
