Brookfield and Qai, Qatar’s AI company under the Qatar Investment Authority, announced a 20 billion dollar strategic joint venture to develop artificial intelligence infrastructure in Qatar and select global markets. The partnership will build integrated AI facilities, expand high-performance computing capacity, and support Qatar’s fast-growing digital ecosystem with backing from the Qatari government.
The venture is expected to be a key pillar of Qatar’s ambition to become a major regional hub for AI services. It will invest through Brookfield’s new Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund, which aims to mobilize up to 100 billion dollars globally. Leaders from QIA, Qai and Brookfield described the collaboration as a catalyst for advancing Qatar’s National Vision 2030, attracting top talent, and enabling the responsible deployment of advanced AI technologies across the Middle East and beyond.
