Vertiv Completes $1 Billion Acquisition of PurgeRite to Expand Liquid Cooling Capabilities
Vertiv Holdings (NYSE: VRT) has finalized its approximately $1.0 billion acquisition of PurgeRite, a leading provider of mechanical flushing, purging and filtration services for data centers. The deal strengthens Vertiv’s position in thermal management solutions for high-density computing and AI-driven workloads, where liquid cooling is increasingly essential.
PurgeRite, based in Houston, brings specialized expertise in fluid management, including proprietary technologies and strong relationships with hyperscale and Tier 1 colocation operators. Its capabilities will be integrated into Vertiv’s liquid cooling portfolio, enhancing system performance, improving heat transfer efficiency, and reducing operational downtime risks.
Vertiv CEO Gio Albertazzi said the acquisition deepens the company’s fluid management services and supports end-to-end thermal solutions from facility to rack. As AI factories and HPC environments expand, maintaining ultra-clean, stable coolant loops has become a critical performance factor.
The combined offering is expected to scale globally with consistent service quality and expanded support for complex liquid cooling deployments.
