Brookfield launches $100 billion AI infrastructure program
Brookfield unveiled a global $100 billion AI infrastructure initiative backed by NVIDIA and the Kuwait Investment Authority, anchored by its new Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund (BAIIF). The fund targets $10 billion in equity commitments and has already secured $5 billion from Brookfield, NVIDIA and KIA.
The program will acquire and develop AI infrastructure across the full value chain, including land, power, data centers and compute. Brookfield says AI is driving one of the largest infrastructure buildouts in history, requiring an estimated $7 trillion over the next decade.
BAIIF will focus on four verticals: NVIDIA-based AI factories, dedicated behind-the-meter power, compute infrastructure for governments and enterprises, and strategic adjacencies. Investments will prioritize contracted cash flows and high-quality counterparties.
Seed investments include a $5 billion agreement with Bloom Energy to deploy 1 GW of power solutions for data centers and the launch of Radiant, a new NVIDIA Cloud Partner offering AI factories based on NVIDIA’s DSX reference design. Brookfield has also signed major AI infrastructure partnerships in France and Sweden totaling up to $30 billion.
The initiative builds on Brookfield’s existing $100 billion portfolio in digital infrastructure and clean power.
