General Dynamics Reports Strong Q3 2025 Results with Double-Digit Growth and Robust Order Activity

General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) reported third-quarter 2025 revenue of $12.9 billion, up 10.6% from the same period last year, driven by strong performance across all business segments. Diluted EPS rose 15.8% to $3.88, and operating earnings increased 12.7% to $1.3 billion, resulting in an operating margin of 10.3%, up 20 basis points year-over-year.

CEO Phebe Novakovic highlighted the company’s broad-based growth, noting particularly strong results in the Aerospace segment, which grew 30.3% in revenue and expanded margins by 100 basis points as demand for business jets remained robust.

Operating cash flow reached $2.1 billion, equal to 199% of net earnings. General Dynamics returned $403 million to shareholders through dividends, invested $212 million in capital expenditures, and ended the quarter with $8 billion in debt and $2.5 billion in cash.

Order activity was exceptionally strong, with $19.3 billion in new orders and a book-to-bill ratio of 1.5-to-1. Total estimated contract value climbed to $167.7 billion, including $109.9 billion in backlog and $57.8 billion in potential contract value from unfunded and unexercised options.
