Stifel Financial Corp. (NYSE: SF) announced on September 23, 2025, a significant expansion of its Venture Banking team, hiring a group of senior bankers formerly with Silicon Valley Bank to strengthen its presence in life sciences and healthcare. The new hires include Managing Directors Jackie Spencer, Anthony Flores, Milo Bissin, Julie Ebert, Timothy Lew, and Sam Subilia, along with Vice Presidents Tessa Dibble, Lindsey Seidner, and Ariana DaCruz. Collectively, the team brings decades of experience in venture banking, corporate finance, and advisory work across biotech, diagnostics, medical devices, and healthtech.

The move follows strong momentum at Stifel Bank’s Venture & Fund Banking unit, which has grown to more than 100 bankers, surpassed $10 billion in loan commitments, and more than doubled venture client deposits in the past year. Chairman and CEO Ronald J. Kruszewski said the expansion underscores Stifel’s commitment to the innovation ecosystem, particularly in healthcare and life sciences. Jackie Spencer noted that the sectors are at a critical inflection point, with artificial intelligence driving transformative opportunities.

Stifel has recently acted as joint bookrunner on four biopharma financings that raised $1.1 billion, including the first biopharma IPO in seven months. Alongside venture banking, the firm’s healthcare and life sciences work spans equity research, capital raising, M\&A advisory, and industry conferences.
